Le E-News della Junior Chamber International parlano della visita del presidente mondiale Bruce Rector in Italia, durante la quale Angela Solimeno, presidente del Lom Torino, è stata premiata livello internazionale per la prima edizione della "Maratona della formazione"
During his recent visit to Junior Chamber Italiana on October 8-10, JCI President Bruce Rector participated in the 11th Eurochambres Congress in Rome, Italy. He served as a guest speaker in a panel discussion entitled “Competitiveness of Europe on the International Market.”
Rector served with nine other representatives from the Global Chamber Platform, including International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) President Jean-René Fourtou and officers of Chambers of Commerce and Industry from around the world.
While in Rome, Rector held meetings with Pier Ferdinando Casini, President of Chamber Deputies, the third highest officer in the Italian Republic, and Maria Pia Garavaglia, Vice-Mayor of Rome and former Minister of Health. In addition, Rector attended audience with Pope John Paul II.
 Following his visit to Rome, Rector took part in the National Assembly of Junior Chamber Italiana in Merano. While meeting with national officers, local chapter presidents and members, Rector encouraged them to continue expanding Junior Chamber Italiana as an outstanding opportunity for young people to develop the skills necessary to become great leaders. Angela Solimeno
A citizen of Italy, Angela Solimeno was born May 20, 1976.
With a degree in accounting, she works as an insurance broker in Italy.
Angela Solimeno’s Contribution
Solimeno joined the Augusta Taurinorum (Turin) Junior Chamber in Italy in January 1999.
She quickly accepted a leadership role in her chapter serving as Treasurer in 2000 and Vice President in 2001.
Solimeno is currently excelling as Augusta Taurinorum Junior Chamber President.
A 2002 PRIME graduate, Solimeno is extremely active in local as well as national projects and activities.
One of the most significant projects she organized was the “First Turin Training Marathon.”
This project was later adopted nationally by Junior Chamber Italiana with great success.
Under her leadership, her team received national recognition with the 2003 Best Special Project Award
and the 2003 Convention Theme Report.
