Di recente in Giappone si è svolta la 16esima Accademia destinata ai futuri presidenti di Nom (National organization member), immortalati in una suggestiva foto di gruppo
The 16th JCI Academy, sponsored by Japan Junior Chamber, Inc., took place October 12-17 in Nagano, Japan, where delegates participated in various training programs to attain mutual understanding and build strong networks. Under the theme “Let’s Seek and Move Toward a New Standard,” members developed their abilities to serve and lead society with universal harmony.
Albert Hiribarrondo, 1992 JCI World President, served as course leader, offering exciting and meaningful seminars that helped shape a new generation of Global Networkers – new Entrepreneurs in Action.
The people of Nagano, host city of the 1988 Winter Olympics, opened their homes to 80 overseas delegates, who were invited to stay with host families during the first two nights. Through this home-stay program, delegates experienced the hospitality of the 16th Academy’s host city.
Following the arrival of 50 Japanese delegates, the Academy commenced with the Opening Ceremony and a Prologue Seminar. Nagano Junior Chamber presented a Japanese Cultural program called ONKOSOUSIN at the ZENKOJI Temple, offering delegates a unique opportunity to identify and accept differences and to seek new ideas and challenges.
Respect, change, internationalism and leadership were common themes during Seminar II, one of the main program’s seven seminars, which produced a new standard for JCI’s future. The consensus among delegates was that positive change is required to create innovative success through continuing international relationships.
In addition to learning and training opportunities, delegates were given the chance to build strong networks at the “Friendship Salon” in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. At the Graduation Ceremony, delegates were presented with pins and diplomas that will distinguish them as Global Networkers.
In 1988, Japan Junior Chamber planted a seed when the first JCI Academy was held in the cities of Okinawa and Tokyo. In the last 16 years, the primary objective of the Academy has been to create Global Networkers. As a result, today’s leaders have been nurtured.
JCI would like to thank Nagano Junior Chamber, Japan Junior Chamber, and the JCI Academy Organizing Committee, including Chairman Yoshihiro Ito, Nagano Junior Chamber President Kenta Wakabayashi, Japan Junior Chamber President Yasumaro Agehara, and Albert Hiribarrondo, for their continued efforts to provide JCI’s future leaders with the highest quality training. Despite postponing the Academy for the first time in its 16-year history due to the advent of SARS, they managed to conduct a successful JCI Academy thanks to the great dedication and determination of everyone involved.
In addition, sincere thanks to all the people of Nagano who provided their hospitality and opened their homes to welcome the delegates of the Academy
